About

How the directory works.

Early Learning Workforce lists recruitment agencies supporting early learning employers in Australia, and records what each one provides and where. Every agency is listed on the same terms.

Who is listed

An agency is listed when it recruits for early learning employers in Australia. That covers long day care, kindergarten and preschool, and outside school hours care. Where an agency is based does not decide whether it is listed. An agency based overseas that recruits for Australian services is listed on the same terms, and its country of base is shown on its profile.

Agencies whose early learning work cannot be confirmed from a public source are not listed until it can be. Agencies that do not recruit for early learning employers are not listed.

Ordering and independence

Results are ordered alphabetically by agency name. No agency receives preference in ordering, filters or profile content. Sponsored placements, when offered, are labelled Sponsored and shown separately from the alphabetical results. Paying for a placement never changes the facts on a profile.

The directory does not rate, rank or recommend agencies. A listing records what an agency provides and where. It is not an endorsement.

What each profile shows

Recruitment services. Each service is shown in one of three states. “Provides” means a current source confirms the agency offers it. “Does not provide” means a current source confirms it does not. “Not yet confirmed” means no current source has been found either way. It does not mean the agency lacks the service.

Coverage. Permanent recruitment, casual and relief staffing, and labour hire coverage are recorded separately, because an agency may recruit permanent roles nationally but supply casual educators in one state only. An office address alone is not treated as evidence of coverage.

Provider-stated. Where coverage is marked “provider-stated”, it comes from the agency’s own description of where it works. It has not been independently confirmed for every location.

Contact. Where the agency has a contact page, the profile links to it. Where no contact page has been confirmed, the profile links to the agency’s website instead.

Main source and last verified. Each profile names its main source and the date its details were last checked.

Where the facts come from

Profile facts come from three kinds of source, and nothing else:

  1. What the agency publishes itself. Its own website first, and where needed its own published job advertisements or official company profile.
  2. Official public records. For example the Australian Business Register, or a government list of approved recruiters.
  3. What the agency tells us directly. These facts are always marked “provider-stated”.

We do not use reviews, forums, competitors’ claims, purchased data or anyone’s opinion. Payment, sponsorship and partnerships never influence the facts on a profile. For every fact, we record the source page and the date it was checked.

How listings are checked

Each fact on a profile is matched to a current public source, usually the agency’s own website. Every listing is rechecked at least every six months, and sooner when a correction is received. When a check changes a profile, the last verified date is updated.

Partially verifiedSome listed facts are confirmed from a current public source. Anything not yet confirmed is shown as not yet confirmed rather than guessed.

Listing standards

  1. Evidence over inference.
  2. Neutral language over promotional language.
  3. Agency marketing superlatives are not repeated as facts.
  4. A physical office does not establish staffing coverage.
  5. Permanent recruitment, casual staffing and labour hire coverage are recorded separately.
  6. Where evidence is missing, a service is shown as not yet confirmed rather than guessed.
  7. Paid status does not change factual profile content.
  8. No subjective ratings or “best agency” rankings.
  9. Listing an agency is not an endorsement.
  10. Agency logos are used only with permission.

Contacting an agency

The directory does not collect enquiries, send recruitment requests or pass on details. You contact agencies directly, on their own websites, and agree any terms with them.

Corrections and claims

Anyone can suggest an update. Each request is acknowledged by the next business day. A profile is changed once the evidence supporting the correction has been checked. Agencies can also claim their profile to add contact details and correct facts, with evidence. Claiming a profile does not change its position in the results.
